Sponsoring Students to Experience "The Nutcracker"
Dance Community,
As we head in another year, I can't help but reminisce about a magical experience last December during iBallet’s Production of "The Nutcracker." Amidst the twirls and leaps, there's a story I'm eager to share.
As many of you know, I recently had the honor of dancing as Clara, the lead role, in "The Nutcracker” at the University of Michigan’s Power Center for Performing Arts. The journey to the show was filled with anticipation, excitement, and a touch of nervousness. However, what made the performance even more special was the decision to give back to the young dancers who inspire me every day in the studio.
I decided to gift tickets to some of my students, allowing them to witness the magic of "The Nutcracker" from the audience and to share in the joy of the art form we all love. Dancing the role of Clara was a dream come true, and I wanted to extend the joy to my students. Sponsoring their attendance seemed like the perfect way to invest in their passion for dance and reward their hard work.
To the parents, volunteers, and everyone who supported our initiative this year, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your enthusiasm and encouragement made this endeavor a success. Together, we created an opportunity for these young dancers to witness the magic of ballet and, in doing so, planted seeds of inspiration that will continue to blossom in the years to come.
Here's to another year of dance, dreams, and delightful surprises! Happy 2024!
